2017 Nissan Versa Note: fuel economy and versatility

Nissan is a manufacturer who seems to know very well the needs of North American consumers and the different peculiarities that characterize its buyers from one region to another. In most of Canada, for example, buyers want cars that are fuel-efficient while also being versatile and easy to park in the city. For these people, Nissan offers several models including the 2017 Nissan Versa Note.

A very frugal engine under the hood of the 2017 Nissan Versa Note

The 2017 Nissan Versa Note features a single engine under the hood, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 109 horsepower and 107 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual that is standard, while a CVT automatic transmission is available.

This engine offers great performance in the city while its output on the highway is up to the expectations that subcompact vehicle owners will have. Where the Versa Note really stands out from its competition is in the fuel economy department where the Versa Note returns an average rating of 6.2 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway and 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers in the city with the CVT automatic transmission. Even with the manual transmission, consumption is impressive with an average of 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway, and 8.6 liters per 100 kilometers in the city.

A versatile trunk for the new 2017 Nissan Versa Note

In addition to its fuel-efficient engine, the new 2017 Nissan Versa Note comes standard with air conditioning, Bluetooth and 60/40 fold-down rear seats to increase the versatility of the new Versa Note. If you keep all the seats in place, you get a load capacity of 532 liters. Lower the rear seat and space climbs to 1,084 liters.

Available starting at $ 14,498, the Nissan Versa Note is available in four other versions including the premium SL model, which features 16-inch wheels, navigation system, heated seats, AroundView Monitor and Nissan’s intelligent key with push-button start.
